Ripped off by the BBC ?

If like me, you can not justify subscribing to sky or cable, due to the time you have free to relax in front of the telly, including weekends, one thing you have to take into consideration is, as a TV license payer, you are actually paying for 30 extra channels, (about 1% of your fee is allocated for digital programming) that you are probably not receiving.

The very least you must do is purchase a digi box for around £50, allowing you to receive these free-to-air channels, unless you purchase a new TV with an integrated digital receiver.

What i find pathetic is that if you are registered blind, you only need to pay half the fee and it is free for over 75's, shouldn't that be free for those who actually live alone and are registered blind and maybe free for those over 60.

About 50% of the fee is split between BBC1 and BBC2, the other 50% is split between all the local and national radio stations, digital and other admin costs.
