Pixar
Saturday, 20 November 2004 ‡ 14:00I love animation, from the old hand drawn cartoons and sketches such as Felix and Mickey Mouse, time frame animation such as Wallace and Gromit to the new CG style 'movies' that Pixar and many others now use.
I think Pixar has done incredibly well in the past 10 years - Has it been that long? With the first big hit, Toy Story, the concept and idea of talking toys was not original, but Pixar managed to add something to captivate its audiences, young and old.

Now with Pixar just releasing 'The Incredibles' in the UK and with 'Cars' due for November 2005, the cast list just proves how sucessful Pixar have become. Paul Newman is one of the voices in Cars and Samuel L Jackson in The Incredibles. In the past, Tom Hanks kicked off Toy Story and Toy Story 2 and Pixar have managed to do well with matching actors with the characters. After Toy Story, i began to think, 'What else could you animate?', but then along comes Pixar with another great movie and again and again and again. I could not pick just one of Pixar's movies as my favourite, since they all offer something different. I can't wait for The Incredibles.
I love watching these movies, i think they are great fun and entertaining for all ages. I have bought Toy Story 1 & 2, A Bugs Life, Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo... it is always a good time to watch any of these when there is crap on TV.
